In accordance with the obligations and duties under the Law No. 6/2016 “Asset Freezing Regime”, and to ensure the understanding of the specific guidelines for different sectors, the first Asset Freezing explanatory seminar of the year was held at the auditorium of Monetary Authority of Macao (AMCM) on 9 March 2017. The explanatory seminar was organized by the “Asset Freezing Coordination Commission”. Ms. Ng Man Seong, the Director of GIF, representing the Secretariat of the Commission, was the speaker of the seminar.

During the explanatory seminar, Ms. Ng gave detailed explanation on the content of the “Asset Freezing Regime” as well as the related implementation measures and case examples. There were approximately 100 participants from the banking and insurance industries. The“Asset Freezing Coordination Commission” will continue to deliver the explanatory sessions for different private sectors in the near future.
