In order to fulfill the responsibility as a member of the international community, in particular complying with the requirements of the United Nations Security Council Resolutions no. 1267(1999), 1718(2006), 1737(2006), 1988(2011) and their respective successor resolutions as well as the designations made under the criteria established under UNSCR 1373(2001) regarding freezing of assets related to terrorism, terrorist financing and proliferation financing, the Legislative Assembly of Macao SAR passed on 12 August 2016 the Law no. 6/2016, named “Law on Asset Freezing Regime”. This law was published on 29 August 2016 and came into effect on 30 August 2016.
